The 5 Best Beaches in Antibes You Must Visit

Antibes is home to some of the most stunning beaches on the French Riviera. Whether you prefer sandy shores or rocky coves, there is a perfect beach waiting for you.

1. Plage de la Gravette

Located right in the heart of Old Antibes, Plage de la Gravette is a charming sandy beach sheltered by the ancient ramparts. It is just a 5-minute walk from our apartment and offers calm, crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming. The beach is free to access and has a lovely restaurant right on the sand.

2. Plage de la Salis

A long stretch of sandy beach with stunning views of the Old Town and the Alps in the distance. Plage de la Salis is popular with families thanks to its gentle slope into the sea and the nearby playground. Lifeguards are on duty during summer months.

3. Plage du Ponteil

Nestled between Plage de la Salis and the Cap d'Antibes, this small beach offers a more intimate experience. The rocky seabed makes it excellent for snorkeling, and the pine trees along the shore provide natural shade.

4. Plage de la Garoupe

On the eastern side of Cap d'Antibes, this beach is considered one of the finest on the Riviera. The turquoise waters and fine sand make it feel almost tropical. Note that parts of the beach are private (with sunbed rental), but there is also a free public section.

5. Plage du Cap Gros

A hidden gem accessible via a short walk from the coastal path. This rocky cove offers incredibly clear water and a sense of seclusion that is hard to find on the busy Riviera. Bring water shoes and a picnic for the best experience.

Getting There from Our Apartment

All of these beaches are easily accessible from our Antibes apartment. Plage de la Gravette is just 350 meters away on foot. For beaches further along the coast, we recommend renting bikes or taking the local bus (line 2). Our apartment provides beach towels and a cool bag for your seaside adventures.
